How to use

  1. Open a photo, drop it on the page or paste it with Ctrl+V.
  2. Choose Rectangle or Circle and drag over what you want to hide, or use Brush to paint over irregular shapes.
  3. Pick Pixelate, Blur or Black box and set the strength. Select an area to move, resize or change its effect.
  4. Hold Original to compare, then press Save full resolution.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Everything is processed in your browser and your photo is never sent to a server.

Can someone undo the blur?

The saved file contains no original pixels in the hidden areas. Pixelate keeps one average color per block and blur is mixed with fine noise. For text such as card numbers or signatures, a black box is the safest choice.

Is location data removed too?

Yes. The saved image is redrawn from scratch, so the original EXIF metadata, including GPS location, isn't carried over.
