HOW TO

How to use

  1. Look at the gray target. Click the artboard for a corner point joined by straight lines, or press and drag for a curve point with handles.
  2. Alt-drag (or the Break handles button on mobile) moves only one handle to make sharp corners. Click the first point again to close the path.
  3. Edit points and handles even after drawing, and double-click a point (double-tap on mobile) to switch between corner and curve.
  4. Press Score it to get a score and up to 3 stars based on average error and point count. Two tutorials lead into twelve increasingly tricky levels.

FAQ

FAQ

Can I play if I've never used a pen tool?

Yes. Tutorial 1 teaches straight lines with clicks and Tutorial 2 teaches curves with drags, using numbered spots and arrows. It works like the pen tool in vector design apps (click = corner, drag = curve, Alt = break handles), so it's great practice.

How is the score calculated?

Both the target and your path are split into 320 evenly spaced samples, and the distance to the nearest point on the other path is averaged in both directions (in px on a 640×480 artboard). That error sets your accuracy, and each point beyond par costs a little extra.

What does Show answer do?

It shows the anchor points and handles used to build the target in purple, including on the results screen. If you score after peeking, you still see your score, but it isn't saved as your best for that level.

Can I undo mistakes? Where are my records saved?

Use Undo or the Z key (Ctrl+Z also works when the canvas is focused) to step back, and remove the selected point with Delete or the Delete point button. Best scores and stars per level are saved only in this browser, never on a server.
